Jeanne McClure

Executive Director

Prior to joining ACEC Nebraska in 2017, McClure achieved just short of a decade of experience in lobbying, policy, and government affairs as well as 10+ years of marketing, public relations, and organization. She is a relationship and coalition builder professionally and personally – serving on multiple boards and committees, and also volunteering her time to many organizations, especially for those helping and representing individuals with special needs, for which she has a distinct passion.

As the executive director for ACEC Nebraska, McClure works on behalf of the board of directors to represent Consulting Engineering Firms – strengthening the business environment for member firms through government advocacy, political action, and business education. McClure has a BA in Business Administration & Marketing from Doane University.

In off hours, she enjoys home renovation projects with her hubby, gardening, taking in the sunsets on the Prairie with her dogs, singing with several choirs in the Lincoln area, and spending time with her adult children.

Jill Tillinghast

Director of Membership Development, Events & Finance

Prior to Joining ACEC Nebraska, Jill spent ten years in healthcare managing legislative policy and facility insurance programs. She also worked four years as a senator’s staff at the Nebraska State Legislature. Jill is a relationship builder and seeks to pull groups together for a common cause.

In her role at ACEC Nebraska, she staffs the Workforce Committee, striving to achieve ACEC NE’s goals of building engagement of both professionals in the industry and students in our mentoring programs and workforce initiatives. Jill also uses her expertise advocating for the engineering community and our member firms through educational opportunities and lobbying. ACEC Nebraska also relies on her for event planning, dues billing, and be the calming presence in any crisis. Jill has a BA in business administration.

Outside of work, Jill enjoys spending time with her family. She’s often found on the bike trail running or cycling or cheering from the sidelines at the soccer field. Her family shares a love of travel and the great outdoors.

Anita Brunero 480x550

Anita Brunero

Director of Membership Education, Communication & Awards

With more than 20 years of experience in nonprofits, Anita has built a career leading special projects, communications, and event development with a focus on strategic growth, community/stakeholder engagement, and both short- and  long-term impact. Her work has included launching new initiatives, revitalizing existing programs, and managing a diverse portfolio of events.

In addition to delivering event leadership, Anita specializes in program development, using qualitative and qualitative information to assess what’s effective and how to guide improvements. She brings a strategic lens to designing programs that align with an organization’s priorities. From concept to execution, she brings creativity, strategy, and a collaborative spirit to every project. One of Anita’s special ACEC NE projects is Good Life Bingo.

At heart, Anita is a miner for stories. Anita’s background includes many years of managing awards and recognition programs and writing best practices. One of her current (and favorite) ACEC NE projects is managing the awards program. She loves sharing stories of our exceptional engineering projects and our engineers.

Anita has a BA in Literature, Art, and a minor in Economics; MA in Literature; and an MFA in Writing. Anita enjoys running, cycling, podcasts (science!), and finding any excuse to bring people together and host a community event.
