State PAC Committee
The ACEC Nebraska PAC Committee is separate from ACEC Nebraska. Trustee Firms who donate a determined amount each calendar year have voting privileges. Those firms donating less may attend the PAC meeting and discussion, but do not have voting rights. The PAC meets several times each to discuss contributions to state officials and other campaigns & initiatives that affect the interests of ACEC members.
Federal PAC Committee
The American Council of Engineering Companies Political Action Committee (ACEC/PAC) was established to allow ACEC members the opportunity to support federal candidates who promote a pro-business legislative agenda. ACEC/PAC is bipartisan and operates in full compliance with the Federal Election Campaign Act. It is funded solely by ACEC member contributions.
ACEC's PAC Champions oversee the recruitment of supporters in their state Member Organizations. The PAC Champions meet twice yearly, approve the criteria for fund allocation and overall fundraising programs to meet their state's annual fundraising PAC goal.
ACEC/PAC's strength comes from the commitment of ACEC members who contribute resources and their commitment to the engineering industry.

SUPPORT FOR PAC
“ACEC Nebraska PAC was formed nearly 20 years ago (January 2007) and has grown in stature over that time. Infrastructure is apolitical but it is important for engineers to be involved in the political process. Engineers have a high level of credibility which leads to elected officials seeking out our opinion on important technical matters. A local PAC gives us additional avenues to interact with local and state elected officials that shape policy and priorities. Our Nebraska PAC is a great compliment to the ACEC National PAC which operates at the federal level.”
“ACEC NE’s PAC has been highly effective in engaging elected officials on matters important to the State of Nebraska. The PAC has helped shape good policy over the years that directly influences the practice of engineering and the quality of life in the state.”
“If we don’t support our industry, nobody else will. To get things done, we need a seat at the table and when it comes to lobbying, ACEC is our person at the table. Some accomplishments include: tax reform, specifically the 20% deduction for passthrough businesses; expanding and securing QBS; passing of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act; Federal Fly-In to meet with our Senate and House members.”
