ACEC/NEBRASKA BUSINESS PRACTICES
Establish programs for the Council’s members to obtain Professional Development Hours. Promote Qualifications Based Selection as the method for procuring engineering services in Nebraska to public agencies, organizations and members. Engage in issues that affect firms’ bottom line.
ACEC/NEBRASKA OMAHA ENGINEERING PARTNERSHIP
Partner with the City of Omaha, serve as a liaison, provide dialogue, present issues of concern, problem solve, and build/improve relations with city officials representing Omaha.
ACEC/NEBRASKA LINCOLN ENGINEERING PARTNERSHIP
Partner with the City of Lincoln, serve as a liaison, provide dialogue, present issues of concern, problem solve, and build/improve relations with city officials representing Lincoln.
Partner with the Nebraska Department of Roads to discuss, monitor, review, and propose transportation related issues.
ACEC/NEBRASKA ENVIRONMENTAL COMMITTEE
Provide opportunities for member firms to interact with each other and related agencies in an exchange of ideas and information to integrate the widely diversified disciplines broadly identified as the fields of environmental engineering and consulting; develop consensus positions; undertake a proactive legislative and regulatory advocacy program; develop public and private market programs of interest to the membership; and communicate with the members on vital environmental energy issues that will affect their businesses.
ACEC/NEBRASKA M/E COMMITTEE
Represent the interests of firms engaged in mechanical/electrical engineering. The committee’s goals include: advocating for consistency & clarity from Code Officials; advocating for privatization and quality-based selection (QBS) by utilities and governments; evaluating ME related legislation; and educating public officials and elected representatives on M/E related interests.
ACEC/NEBRASKA SMALL FIRMS COMMITTEE
Represent small firms within ACEC/N. Identify the issues and opportunities unique to small firms.
ACEC/NEBRASKA PUBLIC RELATIONS COMMITTEE
Raise public awareness of the engineering profession and ACEC/N. Members on this committee may include personnel from a firm’s marketing division.
ACEC/NEBRASKA PRIVATE CLIENT COMMITTEE
Represents the interests of firms engaged in the private client market. Ensure that issues and opportunities pertinent to private-client markets are highlighted in ACEC’s ongoing business and legislative programs. Establish positive relationships with private client markets to dialogue, present issues of concern, and problem solve. Develop private market programs of interest to the membership.
